The Odisha government has introduced a new program called “Buffalo Entrepreneurship Development” with the following objectives:
– Increase milk production
– Improve per capita availability of milk
– Provide livelihood and income generation support to small and marginal farmers through dairy husbandry activities
– Offer nutritional support to households by providing milk
– Enhance the socio-economic status of rural farmers

Farmer has option for 2 animal with shed or only 2 animals.
Subsidy- Beneficiaries will be eligible for a back ended subsidy of 60% for SC, ST, PWD, Women & Transgender categories and 50% for General category of the total Project cost. The subsidy shall be released to the beneficiary’s bank account through DBT mode in 2 phases by the CDVO on recommendation of the Block Level Committee. The scheme will cover all 30 districts of the State.
