Indigenous cow (Deshi) dairy farm

Indigenous cow dairy farming is a sustainable method of self employment for unemployed youth. Indigenous dairy breed like, Gir, Sahiwal, Redsindhi are suitable for milk production. These animals have several advantages over exotic /crossbred animals.

Advantages of deshi cow dairy farm

1-Indigenous animals are well adapted to our local climatic conditions
2- Disease resistance of deshi cows is more in comparison to CB cows
3- They yield A2 milk which can fetch better price in market
4- Bullocks are very good for drought purpose
5- Indigenous cows can thrive well during drought condition feeding on crop residue
